About

Hello! Welcome to my blog! How are you doing? Have a seat! Have some water! Here, have a coffee, tea, or wine! No formalities! Make yourself comfortable!

My name is Prabhat. I am from India. But in my mind I am just one of the many persons who inhabit the Earth. A specimen of homo sapiens in the course of evolution. Made up of matter that was created during big bang. A temporary spark of consciousness. An expression of life force.

Reading, thinking and writing are my passion.(Traits which make me quite useless while handling the practical tasks of life.) I am deeply fond of books and libraries. I  read a lot of fictions, mainly the ones considered ‘classics’. I admire the old school language- classy, gentlemanly. You will find me reading most of the times. I am always dwelling in a different world according to what I am reading.

I am an avid reader of poetry as well, my favorites being RL Stevenson, William Wordsworth, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Alexander Pope.. and many more.

I like to watch documentaries, explore book shops and go on long walks.

I am a keen admirer of art. I don’t understand art like a pro, but I get drawn towards some paintings for unknown reason. I think some connection establishes at subconscious level (as one of my artist friends once explained me).

In my blog I write random thoughts that goes in my mind, and about books and poetry that I read. I like to connect with like-minded people. I created this blog for the same reason. Please do invite me to see your blog too. I would love to read your thoughts.

Thank you!

r_Prab

  1. Hello, Prabhat..
Thank you for following lifehelps.wordpress.com; for liking and commenting on “heralds of Spring”. For one thing, your visit to me prompted my discovery of your blog: How delightful!
so, how did you come up with the title Dancing with MOSQUITOS”? Most of us don’t think of them in a positive light.
Also, I have a counter for one of the quotes from the book on Murfy’s Law for you:
“Don’t argue with an idiot: He’ll bring you down to his level; then beat you with experience.”

    Have a wonderful day.

    • Hi Hannah! Yeah,it’s a delight to get connected. You write nice poems and I wanted to explore your style. 🙂 Thanks for the follow.
Well you know, even I don’t think of them in a positive light.I think mosquitoes are the worst creatures that have been harrowing every other living being of the order higher than them, since time immemorial. But there is a poetess friend of mine who once spoke this line and it kind of blew my mind! For the first time I had heard positive about them, and I wanted to commemorate it.As my blog has the subtitle of ‘Rendezvous with the beauty of life’ I decided to use her words to make the title! 😉

  3. Thanks for the follow and reading some of my posts. I do have two blogs….
I see we have a few things in common, I call it wanderlust and my home is where ever I am sleeping that night (or where my motor home is parked). And I hate mosquitos but they make me dance as I try to swat them away! They love me….LOL

    • Oh thanks a lot Debbie for paying a visit! I got pretty engaged as I found your blog, probably because of the same reason of finding certain things akin, like wanderlust (thanks for the term!) and also because of your passion towards living a more fulfilling life! One after the other , the headings kept attracting me. The idea of a “Gratitude Journal” is what made me start pondering , lastly. That is the one thing I am still thinking about. “I should also start maintaining one”, that is what I am saying to myself!

  4. Hello again, Prabhat. I’m a little later getting around to your blog than I had hoped today, but at least I’ve managed it before midnight. I’m glad to say that reading, writing, travelling and exploring are four of my greatest passions, too. We tend to do a lot of travelling – and exploring – nowadays, and I love to post about places we’ve visited on my blog. You have a great choice in literature – you can’t go far wrong with the classics. As for Wordsworth, I studied his poetry many years ago for my A Level English And have loved his work ever since. I look forward to reading more your posts, Prabhat, and I’m very happy to follow you.

  9. I am very pleased to meet you.

I love books and libraries too, I am like a kid in a candy store when I enter into a book store. Books are wonderful and writing is a great creative outlet. 🙂

  10. I’m happy to have come across your blog and love the paintings and poems. What an interesting title to your blog? Mosquitoes are something I usually swat or scream at! Although it might look like dancing when I’m trying to get away from them! How did come upon this title? But the way I like your statement of being a citizen of the world. Aren’t we all? It is really that simple. Warmest wishes to you.

    • Oh thank you so much Annika for paying a visit! I am so pleased to hear you appreciate my artworks and poetry! 🙂 Haha, regarding the title, I will tell you… I had this friend of mine and she was such deeply poetic.. and once I asked her if she was back from college.. and she said..’ I am still out and dancing with mosquitoes’ .. that line of her amused me so much it stayed in my mind always..and when I was going to make my new blog and was thinking for the title..bingo! That phrase came back- it was so funny and optimistic! I wanted my blog to be about happy things.. 😀 Haha.. that’s the story.. yeah even I despise mosquitoes, and this is the only phrase I ever heard that gives a funny side to the troubles they give us..So I kept it! 🙂 Thank you again..I am really happy to meet you! 🙂

  11. I have always enjoyed reading your poems. You create wonderful imageries with words and your paintings support them.:) That’s a rare combination.I have always thought of asking about the unusual title of your blog. Now I’ve an answer to that question from your previous replies. So,I’m not going to ask that again.
I look forward to read more of your creations. Keep writing! It’s a journey!:)

    • Yeah 🙂 It has been quite interesting so far. Got some challenging projects at work but I m glad it is helping me learn formal writing styles. Because of so much work, I am back to the only-reading-mode, will try to get back to writing soon. 🙂 Thank-you Millie for the visit! 🙂 I also need to discover about your newest explorations. I too can’t miss to be up to date 🙂
